Inspiration

*VIN TORMO*

I met Vin Tormo last year when he was fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Man of the Year" title.  He had a very personal connection to the campaign, because he was diagnosed with leukemia at 50 years old. I was inspired by his story and decided to feature him on my website, INSPIREme ChicagoA week later, Vin won the "Man of the Year" title!  I was completely honored this year, when Vin nominated me as a candidate for the campaign.  His fight has inspired me to help raise money for lifesaving research funded by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.   Here's a look at the story I did last year on Vin Tormo:

*EMILIO RUIZ & HANNAH BRAZENDALE*

Emilio Ruiz and Hannah Brazendale are the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Boy and Girl of the Year.  Emilio was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when he was three years old.  He will be undergoing treatment for the next 3 1/2 years.  Hannah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was just two years old.  Thanks to lifesaving treatments, she's now a vibrant kindergartener in remission!

I'm excited to raise money to help kids like Emilio and Hannah live better lives!

*YOU AND YOUR STORIES*
I'm sure all of you know someone who has had their life turned upside down after a scary diagnosis.  I want to hear your stories and fundraise in honor of you, your friends and your family members!  Please share your stories in the "Your Stories" section to help remind us how many people our fundraising can help!
